TRANSFER PRESSING INSTRUCTIONS

BEFORE YOU GET STARTED

A heat press is required for screen print and direct to film transfers. We do not recommend the Cricut easy press, HTVRONT, or home iron. Commercial transfers require precise pressure for the transfer adhesive to bond to the fabric of the garment you are pressing.

We suggest checking for cool spots in the platen of your press. You can do this by purchasing an infrared thermometer gauge. You can adjust your press, so the coolest spot reflects the minimum temperature required.

SCREEN PRINT TRANSFERS

Pre-press the garment for 5 seconds to remove moisture.

Pressing Temp:

330˚F

Pressure Setting :

Max Pressure: Your pressure should be between 7-9 PSI or the highest setting possible on your press

Pressing Time:

10-15 Seconds

HOT PEEL

Immediately after the platen opens up, hold the garment steady, grab a corner of the paper, and peel diagonally and quickly in a smooth, deliberate motion.

OTHER TIPS

If you need to repress, we recommend protecting the print with parchment paper. Do not recover the print with Teflon and repress.

If the print does not stick at first press please repeat the steps listed above and recheck your pressure setting. The pressure is the most important step with screen print transfers.

DTF TRANSFERS

Pre-press the garment for 5 seconds to remove moisture.

 PRESSING TEMP:

300˚F

PRESSURE SETTING:

MEDIUM/HIGH : Your pressure should be between 5-9 PSI

PRESSING TIME:

10 Seconds

HOT PEEL:

Immediately after the platen opens up, hold the garment steady, grab a corner of the paper, and peel diagonally and quickly in a smooth, deliberate motion.

REPRESS:

A post-press really helps to seal the transfer to the garment. Now it's time to decide what kind of finish you'd like!

For a gloss finish: use teflon paper.
For a matte finish: use parchment paper.

Cover your transfer with the option of your choice, then post-press your transfer for 5-10 seconds.
